Mkambati Lodge
  DESCRIPTION
Mkambati on the Southern African wild coast is home to the Pondo people whose cultural history and traditional values are proudly retained in this community based project. Construction of the eco lodges has meant sustainable employment for the community, and the feel of the wild coast is enjoyed from two locations in the reserve - Mkambati Tented Camp, and Mkambati Palm Lodge, each focused on our guest’s comfort in all aspects.

Mkambati Tented Camp consits of 9 en-suite tents on raised platforms built from Canvas and recycled materials. The tents blend into the rolling grassland surrounds offering the feeling of unlimited space. All tents have large bedrooms with a seating area, there are full bathrooms with large tubs as well as indoor and outdoor showers. Views are of meandering river below or the sea. Tents are very airy, each has its own privacy and is sheltered from the other tents through indigenous vegetation.

The dining experience focuses on healthy options with plentiful fish purchased under licence from the local community. Sip cocktails in one of the rock pools above a waterfall, or dine, one night overlooking a waterfall, the next it could be on the beach or have breakfast after a ride or walk in the grasslands with zebra looking on.
